Biography

MARICARMEN VILLASANA

Was born in Mexico city in 1949. She has a degree in journalism from the National Autonomous University in México in 1973. She studied painting at the National Fine Arts School " La Esmeralda" from 1980 to 1985. Also she studied Visual Arts specializing in painting and had received a Master degree in 1994 from the National Fine Arts School better known as Academia de San Carlos.

MARICARMEN VILLASANA

Was born in Mexico city in 1949. She has a degree in journalism from the National Autonomous University in México in 1973. She studied painting at the National Fine Arts School " La Esmeralda" from 1980 to 1985. Also she studied Visual Arts specializing in painting and had received a Master degree in 1994 from the National Fine Arts School better known as Academia de San Carlos.

She participated in more than 30 collective and solo shows. Among her principal specialties are one at Modern art museum in 1983, in Palacio de Minería and Secretaria de Pesca in 1989. She has a permanent painting in Museum Adolfo Lopez Mateos in Atizapán, state of Mexico. She also has written more than 50 articles about art in National newspaper and Industry and Commerce magazines.She also coordinated the book The graphic art and his creators from Limusa editions.She is also a qualified examiner from the International Bachelor in Visual Arts
